Western Hills is the largest Little League affiliated organization in the greater Austin area and one of the largest in the state of Texas. We organize approximately 30 teams in the fall; 100 in the spring. Literally hundreds of parents and supporters of our league give their time and effort to help us bring the experience of baseball to our children.
We are a non-profit, community-based recreational softball league for girls organized and managed entirely by parent volunteers for the benefit of our kids and our community. Participation in our league is open to children in the EanesIndependentSchool District and West Austin neighborhoods, as well as area private schools. Our mission is to provide a fun and safe environment for girls ages 5 to 15 to learn the basic skills and rules of the game. We encourage skill development, healthy competition, fair play, and good sportsmanship, and believe that every child is a valued member of the team.

Hockey leagues for little ones on up through adult (Westlake High has a school team). Also, there are Learn to Skate classes for hockey, as well as figure skating. The leagues are broken into house and travel teams.
The Central Texas lacrosse community is interested in the growth of lacrosse for boys and girls from grade school through high school. Westlake Lacrosse Association operates clubs in the Eanes area for high school girls, high school boys, middle school boys, middle school girls, and elementary boys.

New TaeKwonDo students begin their training as white belts and through several years of training and concentrated work, they attain their black belts. At each formal testing a student can earn the next rank by displaying their knowledge of their current rank. Each rank is attained through consistent training and participation at a formal testing. Students are not required to attend every testing, but are encouraged to progress at their own rate.

Boy Scouts get away from it all! They camp, hike, and fish in the great outdoors. They get together in troops, and try out new experiences. Boy Scouting is available to boys who are 11 through 17 years old, or who have earned the Arrow of Light Award, or have completed the fifth grade.

Venturing is for young men and young women ages 14 (and have completed eighth grade) to 20. It includes challenging high-adventure activities, sports, and hobbies for teenagers that teach them leadership skills, provide opportunities to teach others, and give them an opportunity to learn and grow in a supporting, caring, and fun environment. Our goal as a youth soccer association is to nurture children and young adults in their development both as athletes and as people. We provide a firm and supportive environment, which encourages learning while building self-confidence and self-esteem. Our collective goal is to see our soccer players mature into adults who will enjoy full participation in their community.

West Austin Athletic Club provides a spectrum of swim and dive classes to fit the goals of the individual athlete. All of the WAAC's programs stress person improvement through improved stroke technique and goal setting. The swim programs are designed to serve a wide range of skill levels from swimmers just learning to do proper strokes to others with goals of attaining qualifying times for state and national meets. WAAC's swim programs are taught in a positive environment with coaches that match the goals and commitment of their swimmers, whetehr there are fitness or competitive goals. Programs run year-round. Divers begin with Learn to Dive classes for which no experience is needed. Once certain skills are obtained, divers can move into the intermediate class. Individual divers progress through diving at thier own pace. Swimming and diving help young athletes improve flexibility, build upper and lower body strength, and develop healthy lifestyles.
We also offer tennis. The tennis coach is Sarah Pernell. The players learn basic tennis skills while having fun and learning about the sport of tennis. As skills increase, players learn the game of tennis and have opportunities for game play.

The purpose of the YMCA Adventure Guides program (formerly Indian Guides) is to foster communication, understanding and companionship between parent and child through the teaching of values, attitudes, fitness and health, knowledge and ethics. Circles are generally formed around school or neighborhood groupings with six to ten parent/child couples or families. Individual Circles meet monthly, September through June. A combined event for all Circles is held once a month and includes such activities as campouts, sporting events and fundraising events for the YMCA Partners of Youth program. Regular meetings combine ceremony, scouting reports, and a program which includes crafts, games, or storytelling. The central theme of the program draws upon the culture of Native Americans to help promote a positive and lasting relationship between parent and children.

The EISD Community Education Program is dedicated to providing quality education in a variety of subjects to adults, teenagers, and children in the community of Westlake. We offer many diverse services, filling both academic and entertainment needs. Attending classes offers the opportunity to improve job skills or learn a new hobby. Plus it is a good return on the tax investments being made in the Eanes ISD.
Our goal is to help adolescent girls develop and maintain healthy self-esteem and leadership skills by educating them, their parents and teachers, and others who touch their lives.
